What Subtle Kraft Co do, as a dance company, revolves around making connections and forming relationships with people. Therefore, the chance to engage with participants (and potential audience members) through Education/Outreach work feels essential.
Subtle Kraft Co offers inclusive workshops with groups that would be interested in exploring movement as an opportunity to learn more about the company and the kind of work that we do. It could be a workshop based on one of our pieces, but we can also respond to individual group’s needs and requests.
To date, Subtle Kraft Co have facilitated a wide range of workshops, including children ‘4 year olds and under'; youth dance groups; school groups, college/Performing Arts groups; BA and MA Dance students; recent dance graduates; CPD sessions; interdisciplinary workshops and workshops for families. Kimberley also has experience of guest lecturing in university/conservatoire settings.
As well as her work with Subtle Kraft Co, Kimberley is a freelance dance artist, which includes both performing and teaching. Kimberley is also a Candoco Artist, which amongst other things has led to a variety of teaching experiences both nationally and internationally for Candoco Dance Company .
Kimberley was fortunate enough to be introduced to contemporary dance by Candoco Dance Company back in 2000 when she became an original member of their youth dance company, Cando2. She went on to continue her dance training and development through various learning programmes with Candoco. So Kimberley knows first hand, the importance of learning work within a dance company’s programme and the potential impact that it can have.
