This collaboration between Kimberley Harvey and Irish actor, Mark Fitzgerald, began in 2019 and to date has resulted in the creation of two short ‘dance for screen’ films, ‘Between and Almost’ and ‘A Different Kind of Conversation’.
‘Between and Almost’ and ‘A Different Kind of Conversation’ came from a desire to explore the intricacies of human relationships and a curiosity about our perceptions of non-verbal communication, both from within a relationship and as the viewer.
“That’s just magical. So subtle and tender and hopeful.”
“It is so relatable. Your performances and material responses are so natural, a familiarity that I recognise that brings up so much”
Both films highlight a movement language rooted in play, trust, challenge and an insatiable curiosity. Captured moments in time that it is hoped draw you in, make you wonder and maybe even feel something too.
So far, both films have been selected for a number of film festivals both in the UK and internationally.
